Liverpool star Luis Diaz has revealed how he reacted to overcome his injury setback that hampered his first full season at Anfield.
The Colombian has been a breath of fresh air since arriving on Merseyside and proved to be an instant hit with the Kop due to his blistering pace and fast feet. With the departure of Sadio Mane, it seemed as if Diaz would be best placed to fill the void of the Senegalese, who formed part of the most deadly front three in Europe alongside Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah.
Diaz showed glimpses of being able to do just that as he dragged Liverpool out of difficult waters during the early part of the Premier League campaign before he suffered a knee injury in October during the defeat at Arsenal.
He managed to return during the World Cup break as the Reds jetted off to Dubai but he suffered another setback during the interval, which put his comeback on hold. It in fact ruled him out for six months, only returning in April.

And in interview this week, Diaz has offered an insight into how he feels he has adapted to the Premier League and his motivation to come back from adversity to shine for Colombia.
“I came at a magnificent moment, making a good participation in each game that had touched me," he said as quoted by Diario AS.
"I was happy with what was happening, the injury appeared, it was hard for me, but I knew how to go out, I motivated myself much more and I worked harder to be able to be back with the national team.
"He (Nestor Lorenzo, Colombia manager) wanted to return after the selection. I will continue doing what I was doing, which is trying to help my team-mates."
Diaz played in Colombia's first of two international friendlies this summer, against Iraq. The 26-year-old featured for 72 minutes in Valencia, taking the armband off Juan Cuadrado, before he was replaced as they went on to win 1-0 thanks to a goal in the final 15 minutes.
