NEW DELHI: Australia's star batter Steve Smith disclosed that captaining MS Dhoni in the 2017 IPL season at Rising Pune Super Giants was a great experience as well as a daunting task. Smith also added that he learnt a lot from the 'Captain Cool' that year.

In that season, Smith led the Pune squad which had Dhoni in the side as Chennai Super Kings were serving a two-year ban from the competition. Smith-led RPSG narrowly missed out on the title that season by just one run.
