It seems all is not well within the Karnataka Congress, says BJP leader Ramesh Jarkiholi

It seems all is not well with Karnataka Congress, Ramesh Jarkiholi, BJP leader and former Minister, said in Nandagaon village near Athani in Belagavi district on Monday. He was attending a private function in the village, along with former Minister Srimanth Patil.

“When I revolted against the party in the Congress government, everyone was blaming me. Now that Satish Jarkiholi is doing the same, people are realising why. Satish Jarkiholi is very close to the Mr. Siddaramaiah. If this is the situation when Mr. Siddaramaiah is the CM, imagine what would happen if someone else was CM,” he said.

“I have a feeling that CM Siddaramaiah does not have much freedom. Some people have tied his hands. He has mellowed down. The tone and tenor of Siddaramaiah’s speech and his strict administration that was seen in 2013, is not seen now. I have great respect for Mr. Siddaramaiah, but I do not know why he is behaving like this,” he said.

About his meeting Jagadish Shettar recently, Ramesh Jarkiholi said that it was not a political meeting. “`He is our senior leader, and we keep meeting regularly. I must have met him 5-6 times, but only this time the news leaked out. He has left our party for some reasons. But that has nothing to do with our meeting,” he said.
