It is India's dream to host 2036 Olympics, says PM Narendra Modi in his Independence Day speech

Reiterating India's strong efforts to host the 2036 Summer Olympics in India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in his address to the nation on the occasion of Independence Day that the country is preparing for its bid to bring the biggest sporting extravaganza to India.

"India organising the G20 Summit has proven that we have the capability to organise large-scale events....It is our dream that the 2036 Olympics is hosted on the Indian soil. We are preparing for it, moving forward," said the Prime Minister.
