World Book Day is an international, annual celebration of authors, illustrators, books and reading. World Book Day is celebrated in over 100 countries all over the world and involves activities and events organised by children's groups, nurseries and schools to encourage children's reading.
The event takes please on the first Thursday of March every year. So for 2022, its falls on Thursday, 3 March - not long to go, so you need to get your thinking caps on!
The day celebrates the joy of books and reading and what better way to do so than for the kids to get dressed up as their favourite character and share their great costumes with the Grimsby Telegraph using the form below.
Your photos will be printed in our World Book Day photo special in the Bristol Post on Friday, March 11, 2022.
If you cant see the form above CLICK HERE
We had a range of brilliant costumes sent in last year - from Harry Potter to Matilda, Stick Man to Spiderman, Captain America to Pinocchio, Mad Hatter to Turtles and event the Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz and many, many more!
Children love to dress up and World Book Day gives them the opportunity to dress up and have fun.
