"It's frightening to see": Shock as man suffers head and upper body injuries in Walker street

Neighbours have today told of their shock after a man was found injured outside their homes.

Police and paramedics were called to Alston Avenue in Walker, Newcastle, during the early hours of this morning and a man was taken to hospital.

A stretch of the street was cordoned off by police tape as a forensics officer got to work at the scene.
