'It's for certain' - Gary Neville sends blunt Arsenal warning to Liverpool

Gary Neville has warned Liverpool what could end up happening when they face Arsenal this weekend.

The Reds take on the Gunners in the Premier League on Sunday, as they look to get back to winning ways. Liverpool are fighting to finish in the top four, but have fallen to eighth place and are seven points adrift with a game in hand.

Liverpool were held to a goalless draw with Chelsea on Tuesday night, which followed on from a 4-1 defeat to Manchester City last weekend. Jurgen Klopp’s side are without a win in the top flight since beating Manchester United 7-0 on March 5.

Neville was working on commentary duty for Sky Sports for Liverpool's draw with Chelsea and was often giving his opinion on Klopp's team and their performance at Stamford Bridge. The former Manchester United captain made a comment where he suggested the Reds would struggle against Arsenal this weekend.

During the second half, Neville said: "It’s for certain if they (Liverpool) were to give Arsenal the chances they’ve given Chelsea tonight, they would be well behind in the game on Sunday."

Liverpool are 29 points behind Arsenal who are top of the Premier League. The reverse fixture at the Emirates Stadium finished in a 3-2 defeat for the Reds last October, in a game that also saw Luis Diaz suffer a knee injury.

Liverpool boss Klopp said of the visit of the Gunners to Anfield: “Arsenal are flying and in incredible shape and playing super football, it’s really good to watch as well. But we are there, it’s a home game, and our home record is not as bad as our away record.

“If we are difficult to beat against Arsenal, we can win this game. If not, Arsenal will just go over us.”
