Callum Wilson believes Liverpool will 'obviously' finish in the Premier League top four despite their slow start to the season.
The Reds are already 14 points away from leaders Arsenal - who they lost to 3-2 on Sunday at Emirates - in 10th after their worst start to a Premier League campaign for a decade, and next face unbeaten defending champions Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday. Jurgen Klopp's side have manage to pick up three consecutive Champions League wins, however, including Wednesday night's 7-1 thumping of Rangers at Ibrox.
That resounding success was the second time this season - after the 9-0 home victory over Bournemouth - that Liverpool have truly shown their class, but Newcastle United striker Wilson believes they need to show some consistency if they are to catch their fellow top-four contenders.

“Liverpool are a top side," Wilson told the Footballer’s Football Podcast. "They’re obviously going to finish in the Champions League spots, their squad is too strong not to.
“But it’s about showing some consistency and hitting the ground running sooner rather than later, because if you leave it too late you have too much work to do.”
Liverpool's chances at securing a top-four place are fading with each poor result as Arsenal and Man City pull away. The form of those two will likely leave two places available, and with Tottenham Hotspur looking strong under Antonio Conte, while a rejuvenated Chelsea find their feet under Graham Potter, the Reds already have a tough task ahead.
That task starts on Sunday as they welcome Pep Guardiola's City to Anfield, and despite polarising starts to the campaign, no-one on the blue half of Manchester is under any illusions about the size of the test.
