Steve Morison is looking for at least one more addition to his Cardiff City squad before Thursday's transfer deadline day and laughed off the notion that he and his recruitment team are not trying their best to get a striker in the building.
The Bluebirds have enjoyed a solid start to the season, winning two, losing two and drawing two as they sit in mid-table following a summer of upheaval which has seen 16 players join the south Wales club. The transfer chaos is set to end at 11pm on Thursday, though, and, if Morison has his way, there will be a new body through the door before the deadline passes.
For all of Cardiff's excellent defensive work and their unrecognisable and encouraging new style of play, scoring goals has been a sticking point so far this season, with only Callum O'Dowda, Jaden Philogene and Romaine Sawyers having found the back of the net.
