Israeli operations in southern Lebanon continue as troops have successfully destroyed a combat complex utilized by Hezbollah near a village school, as reported by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). The IDF announced on Saturday that the 7th Brigade combat team had discovered weapons caches, tunnel shafts, and warehouses containing combat equipment within a school complex in southern Lebanon.
According to the IDF, the troops have already taken action to dismantle infrastructure, multiple tunnel shafts, and over 20 weapons stockpiles believed to be under Hezbollah's control. The Israeli military disclosed that within the school compound, they found and eliminated several shafts housing weapons, including rocket-propelled grenade missiles and other combat gear, without specifying the exact location of the village.
Furthermore, the IDF confirmed the destruction of additional munitions warehouses that were abandoned by Hezbollah in the area. This recent operation marks a significant advancement for the Israeli military, as they have penetrated deeper into southern Lebanon than at any point since the ground incursion commenced at the conclusion of September.
