On Monday night, a series of Israeli strikes in eastern Lebanon led to a tragic outcome, with at least 60 individuals losing their lives and 58 sustaining injuries, according to the country's health ministry's initial assessment.
These strikes mark one of the deadliest incidents in Lebanon since the recent escalation of tensions between Israel and Hezbollah. The attacks were concentrated in various cities and towns within the Baalbek-Hermel and Beqaa governorates, as confirmed by the ministry.
Baalbek-Hermel Governor Bachir Khodr described the situation as the most severe day in Baalbek since the onset of the conflict.
