Recent Israeli strikes in various parts of Lebanon have resulted in casualties and significant damage, as reported by Lebanon’s national news agency. The strikes targeted several locations, including Baalbek city, the nearby town of Hizzine, and the southern coastal city of Tyre.
In Baalbek and Hizzine, the strikes led to a number of casualties, prompting ongoing rescue efforts to extract individuals trapped under the rubble. In Tyre, a building was destroyed, and several houses in the vicinity suffered damage due to the Israeli strikes.
Additionally, various towns in southern Lebanon were also targeted by Israeli airstrikes. Prior to the attacks, the Israeli military had issued evacuation warnings for certain areas, including Tyre.
The Israeli military disclosed that its air force conducted strikes in Beirut, southern Lebanon, and deep within Lebanese territory. The primary targets were Hezbollah sites where funds supporting the organization's military activities were stored.
The funds were reportedly held at the Al-Qard Al-Hassan Association, an entity affiliated with Hezbollah that directly finances the group's operations, including the procurement of weapons and payments to members of Hezbollah's military wing.
