Israeli restaurant targeted in suspected antisemitic attack

An Israeli restaurant in Munich was vandalised early on Friday, with police suspecting an antisemitic motive.
Windows at the Eclipse Grillbar, whose owners are Jewish, were broken as pyrotechnic devices were reportedly thrown inside.
Police were called about 12.45am but found no suspects in the area, and the perpetrators remain unknown.
The damage caused by the vandalism is estimated to be several thousand euros.
This incident occurred amidst a rise in antisemitism in Germany since the Hamas-led attacks on Israel on 7 October 2023.
