Israeli Reserve Soldier Killed In Hezbollah Strike On Druze Village

Israeli airstrikes killed at least two Hezbollah members

An Israeli reserve soldier was tragically killed in a Hezbollah strike on a Druze Arab village in northern Israel on Wednesday. Refael Kauders, 39, who served as a religious affairs coordinator in the Alon Brigade, lost his life in the attack. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that another reserve soldier was seriously injured during the incident.

The attack resulted in injuries to at least nine other individuals, as reported by Israel's Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency service. Among the injured was a woman who suffered abdominal and chest injuries, with her condition being described as moderate to serious.

The Israeli military disclosed that Hezbollah militants in Lebanon were responsible for launching at least two explosive UAVs in the attack. A witness recounted that the second self-detonating drone exploded as emergency responders arrived at the scene.

Wednesday witnessed heightened tensions as approximately 30 rockets and drones were launched from Lebanon towards Israel. In response, Israeli fighter jets targeted Hezbollah positions, according to the military.

The escalating tensions along the border have prompted the Israeli military to issue a warning, stating its readiness to launch a large-scale attack in the north to deter Iran-backed Hezbollah.
