Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently visited Washington to meet with US leaders on Capitol Hill. However, his presence sparked protests from Ifat Kalderon, whose cousin is currently being held by Hamas.
Kalderon expressed her disapproval of Netanyahu's visit, stating that he should have remained in Israel to work on securing the release of the hostages held by Hamas. She emphasized the urgency of bringing the hostages home and criticized Netanyahu for traveling to Washington instead of focusing on resolving the hostage situation.
Traveling from Tel Aviv to Washington, Kalderon participated in a protest against Netanyahu's speech to Congress. She highlighted the importance of raising awareness among the American public about the need for a negotiated deal to secure the release of the hostages.
According to Kalderon, a deal is the only viable solution to bring all 120 hostages home safely. She stressed that alternative approaches are not effective and reiterated the significance of diplomatic negotiations in resolving the hostage crisis.
