Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to undergo surgery under full anesthesia on Sunday after being diagnosed with a hernia, as per a statement released by his office.
The statement revealed that during a routine examination, Netanyahu was found to have a hernia. Following consultations with his medical team, it was decided that the Prime Minister would be admitted to the hospital for the hernia operation after the end of business on Sunday, March 31, 2024.
The surgery will be conducted under full anesthesia to ensure the Prime Minister's comfort and safety during the procedure.
During Netanyahu's absence for the surgery, Israeli Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice, Yariv Levin, will assume the role of Prime Minister.
