Israeli Politicians Celebrate Death Of Hamas Leader Yahya Sinwar

Israel-Hamas war latest: Israel strikes Houthi targets in Yemen

Israeli politicians expressed jubilation on Thursday following the news of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar’s death. The killing was hailed as a significant military and moral victory for Israel and the free world in the ongoing battle against radical Islam, particularly spearheaded by Iran.

Foreign Minister Israel Katz lauded the operation, emphasizing its importance in the fight against extremism. Defense Minister Yoav Gallant seized the opportunity to call for the release of hostages held in Israel, urging those responsible to surrender and free the captives.

President Isaac Herzog commended the various Israeli security forces involved in the operation, stressing the need to intensify efforts to secure the release of the remaining hostages held by Hamas in Gaza.

Opposition politician Benny Gantz emphasized that the mission was far from over, asserting that the IDF would continue its operations in the Gaza Strip for the foreseeable future. Gantz urged Israel to capitalize on Sinwar’s demise to bring back the hostages and dismantle Hamas’ control in the region.

Several other prominent politicians, including Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir, Minister of Culture and Sports Miki Zohar, and Member of the Defense Cabinet Gideon Sa’ar, also voiced their support for the operation and underscored the importance of addressing the hostage situation in Gaza.
