Israeli Military Targets Hezbollah Weapons Storage Facilities In Lebanon

Smoke rises following what the Israeli armed forces say was an air strike on Hezbollah targets at a location given as Lebanon

The Israeli military conducted multiple airstrikes across Lebanon on Saturday, targeting Hezbollah weapons storage facilities. One of the strikes in Al-Kawakh injured four people, including three children, who required hospital treatment. Another strike hit empty shops in Sareen, as reported by the Lebanese health ministry.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed strikes in the Beqaa and Baalbek areas, stating they targeted Hezbollah weapons storage facilities. Additional strikes were carried out in seven other areas of Lebanon, including the south.

Hezbollah retaliates with rockets and drones against Israel.

Earlier on Saturday, the IDF reported a barrage of 55 projectiles fired from Lebanon into Israeli territory, aimed at the Upper Galilee and Galilee areas. In response, Hezbollah claimed to have shelled an Israeli military brigade headquarters with Katyusha rockets and conducted attacks on northern Israel throughout the day using rockets and drones.

Hezbollah stated that these actions were in support of the Palestinian people in Gaza and their resistance against Israel. The ongoing exchanges of fire across the Israel-Lebanon border have intensified since the conflict between Israel and Hamas in Gaza began on October 7.
