The Israeli military conducted a series of strikes on Hezbollah sites on Thursday, targeting approximately 100 rocket launchers. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported hitting not only the launchers but also additional terrorist infrastructure sites, including around 1000 barrels that were poised to be used imminently to launch attacks towards Israeli territory.
Each rocket launcher is equipped with a multi-barreled weapon capable of firing unguided rockets. Lebanon's state-run National News Agency disclosed that Israel carried out at least 52 strikes in southern Lebanon between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. local time.
Hezbollah, an Iranian-backed group, had earlier claimed responsibility for launching at least 17 attacks on military sites in northern Israel. In response to the escalating tensions, Israel's military issued guidelines for communities in several northern areas, advising civilians to limit movements, avoid gatherings, and remain close to shelters to ensure their safety.
