Israeli Military Strikes Hezbollah Rocket Launchers In Lebanon

Smoke rises above Lebanon, following an Israeli strike, amid ongoing cross-border hostilities between Hezbollah and Israeli forces, as seen from Israel's border with Lebanon

Israeli military sources have reported that approximately 100 fighter jets were deployed to target and destroy thousands of Hezbollah rocket launcher barrels, which were allegedly aimed at northern and central Israel for immediate use. The strikes, which took place in Lebanon, targeted over 40 launch areas, according to the Israeli military.

Hezbollah, the militant group based in Lebanon, has not yet issued a statement in response to the Israeli military's claims. However, Lebanese state media has confirmed that one person was killed during the strikes, and there was significant damage to crops and infrastructure in the affected areas.

Describing the Israeli airstrikes as the most intense since the conflict began, Lebanese state media reported that the attacks began early on Sunday and continued relentlessly in southern towns. Specific areas such as Qabrikha, Tulin, Wadi Saluki, Houla, Aadichit Al Qusayr, Deir Mimas, Talloussa, and Bani Haiyyan were among those targeted.

Prior to these strikes, Lebanese state media had already reported that enemy warplanes had caused severe damage to crops and local infrastructure in towns like Zibqin, Tayr Harfa, and Chama. The attacks also impacted essential services such as water and electricity networks in these areas.

Throughout the early morning hours, Israeli warplanes and reconnaissance aircraft were observed flying over the villages of Tyre and Bint Jbeil, as reported by Lebanese state media. The situation remains tense as both sides continue to engage in military actions in the region.
