In the ongoing search for alleged hostages, Israeli special forces are continuing operations inside Nasser Hospital in Gaza. The Israeli military claims to have acted on credible intelligence indicating the presence of hostages in the hospital, which, according to international law, is a rare circumstance for entering a medical facility. However, as of now, the bodies of the suspected hostages have not been located.
During the course of the operation, Israeli forces have detained over 20 individuals on the hospital grounds, whom they believe were involved in the October 7th attacks. The Israeli military also claims to have discovered weapons inside the facility, sharing photographs of mortar shells and a case of ammunition. However, the authenticity and location of these photographs could not be independently verified.
