The Israeli military has issued an order for the evacuation of a portion of an area in the Gaza Strip that has been designated as a humanitarian zone. This move comes as part of the military's plan to launch an operation against Hamas militants who have taken refuge in the area and used it as a launching pad for rockets aimed at Israel. The affected area includes the eastern section of the Muwasi humanitarian zone situated in the southern Gaza Strip.

Amidst ongoing negotiations for a cease-fire in Gaza, the United States and Israeli officials are optimistic about reaching an agreement soon. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to meet with President Joe Biden in the United States to discuss various issues and strengthen the bond between the two nations.

The conflict in Gaza has resulted in a significant loss of life, with more than 38,900 people reported dead, according to the territory's Health Ministry. The war began with an attack by Hamas militants on southern Israel, leading to casualties and the taking of hostages.

Furthermore, the already dire humanitarian situation in Gaza has been exacerbated by the discovery of the polio virus in sewage samples. The deteriorating water and sanitation services in the region have raised concerns about potential health risks for the 2.3 million people residing in Gaza.

Israel has pledged to vaccinate its soldiers and collaborate with organizations to provide vaccines for Palestinians. Prime Minister Netanyahu has reiterated his commitment to dismantling Hamas' military capabilities and ensuring the safe return of hostages.

As the conflict continues, both Israeli airstrikes and ground operations persist in central and southern Gaza. Efforts are underway to secure a phased cease-fire deal that would bring an end to the fighting and facilitate the release of hostages.
