The Israeli military has issued evacuation orders to thousands of people in Gaza, affecting residents in central Gaza’s Bureij refugee camp and Al-Shuhada street. According to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), approximately 30,000 individuals have been impacted by these orders.
One man, who was evacuating the Bureij camp with his son, shared that this was his 26th displacement since his house was destroyed shortly after October 7. He expressed gratitude for escaping death multiple times and emphasized that he is a civilian.
Another Gazan described the living conditions as being akin to animals and highlighted the need to persevere for the sake of his family. Despite facing illness and injuries, he stressed the importance of appearing strong and brave in front of his loved ones.
An elderly woman, using a stick for support, was observed evacuating towards the Nuseirat camp. She recounted the numerous times she had been displaced, including moving between schools, her home, her daughter's residence, and the hospital.
Tragically, on Sunday, Israeli attacks resulted in the deaths of at least 19 Palestinians, including children, and left many others wounded across Gaza. Health officials and Gaza’s Civil Defense have reported these casualties.
