Israeli Man Injures Three Anti-Government Protesters In Tel Aviv

Protest against Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu's government and call for the release of hostages kidnapped on October 7, in Tel Aviv

Three people were injured on Saturday night in Tel Aviv when an Israeli man drove into a crowd of anti-government protesters blocking a road, as reported by the police. The incident occurred when the driver hit three civilians and continued driving until being stopped by law enforcement.

A video of the event captured the driver and three passengers slowly navigating through the protesters while shouting profanities. At one point, the driver attempted to exit the vehicle but was prevented by a police officer. Subsequently, the car accelerated, resulting in multiple individuals being struck.

The injured individuals received medical attention and were discharged from the hospital, except for one person who remains in moderate condition at Ichilov Hospital, where they were treated.

Following the incident, the police arrested the driver and interrogated him on suspicion of endangering human lives on a public road. The suspect remains in custody as the investigation continues.

In a statement provided by the driver's lawyer, Roey Keren, it was claimed that the incident was not intentional. Keren suggested that a mechanical malfunction in the electric vehicle caused it to accelerate uncontrollably, with the driver attempting to avoid hitting the protesters to the best of his ability.
