The first hostage to be released by Palestinian Islamic Jihad in Khan Younis has been identified as an Israeli citizen named Arbel Yehoud. The handover of Arbel Yehoud was witnessed by our stringer moments ago. She was escorted from a van to a Red Cross vehicle and safely placed inside.
According to reports, there are six more hostages believed to be inside the van, and their release is expected to happen soon. The situation remains tense as negotiations continue for the safe release of all hostages.
