Hamas releases 8 prisoners but Israel postpones Palestinian exchange due to 'scenes of chaos'

Israel has resumed the release of over 100 Palestinians after Benjamin Netanyahu initially halted the handover in an eleventh hour in response to what Israel called “chaotic” scenes during a hostage exchange.

Israel was due to release 110 Palestinian prisoners, of which 30 are reportedly children, as part of the ceasefire arrangement earlier on Thursday before dramatically halting the process.
