Israeli’s Hostages and Missing Families Forum has criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for not mentioning those still being held in Gaza in his recent speech about Lebanon. The Forum expressed disappointment over what they called a 'blatant and total disregard for the existence of the hostages' in Gaza.
In his televised speech, Netanyahu focused on the safe return of residents in the north to their homes, stating, 'We are determined to return our residents in the north safely to their homes.' However, the Forum pointed out that the Prime Minister did not address the issue of the hostages in Gaza.
The Forum described the omission as evidence of the 'final abandonment of the hostages' and emphasized the urgent need to prioritize their return. They highlighted the stark contrast between the residents in the north, who are currently living in Israel despite their hardships, and the hostages in Gaza who are suffering and facing grave dangers.
According to the Forum, securing the release of the Gaza hostages would not only bring them back home but also facilitate the return of evacuees and contribute to the restoration and revival of the State of Israel.
The criticism from the Forum underscores the ongoing concerns and challenges surrounding the issue of hostages in Gaza and the importance of addressing their plight in political discussions and decision-making processes.
