An Israeli drone strike on a hospital compound in northern Gaza resulted in the death of a 16-year-old boy in a wheelchair and left at least 12 others wounded, including medical staff, according to the Gaza Health Ministry and the hospital director. The incident occurred at Kamal Adwan Hospital, one of the few hospitals still partially operating in the northernmost part of Gaza, which has been almost completely sealed off from humanitarian aid for two months due to the Israeli offensive.

Earlier, Amnesty International accused Israel of genocide in Gaza, alleging deliberate destruction of Palestinians through deadly attacks and hindering aid delivery. Israel, however, maintains it takes precautions to avoid civilian casualties while combating Hamas.

The conflict between Israel and Hamas has displaced 90% of Gaza's 2.3 million population, with casualties on both sides. The recent drone strike at Kamal Adwan Hospital is one of several incidents targeting medical facilities in the region, exacerbating the dire humanitarian situation.
