An Israeli boy, Binyamin Achimair, aged 14, who went missing on Friday morning in the occupied West Bank, has been found dead, as confirmed by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). Achimair's disappearance led to a significant manhunt and resulted in Israeli settler attacks on a Palestinian village.
The IDF stated that Achimair was murdered in a terrorist attack, and the incident is currently under investigation. Security forces are actively pursuing those suspected of carrying out the attack.
At this time, the cause of death remains unclear, and the IDF has yet to present evidence supporting the classification of this incident as a 'terrorist attack.'
Reports indicate that Achimair was last seen grazing sheep near an Israeli settlement in the northern West Bank before his disappearance. The search for him led to hundreds of armed Israeli settlers storming the village of Al-Mughayyir in the occupied West Bank. This resulted in the destruction of several homes and cars, as well as the tragic death of at least one Palestinian man, according to Palestinian officials.
In response to inquiries, the IDF mentioned that violent riots erupted in multiple locations in the area following the search for the missing boy.
