Tragedy struck in Rafah and Khan Younis overnight as six individuals, including two women, lost their lives due to Israeli airstrikes and shelling, as reported by local hospitals.
In central Rafah, three people fell victim to the violence in two separate attacks. The initial strike targeted a house in a residential area, claiming the lives of two individuals and leaving eight others injured. Additionally, one person was fatally wounded by an artillery strike near the Qeshta Tower in the city's central region.
Further casualties occurred when two men riding a motorcycle near the Salah al-Din Gate, south of Rafah, were killed. Their bodies were later brought to Kuwait Specialized Hospital.
Throughout the night, the area experienced continuous artillery shelling and gunfire exchanges, as described by a local journalist. However, the situation has since stabilized, with no new casualties reported at Kuwait Specialized Hospital as of the morning.
Meanwhile, in Khuza’a, east of Khan Younis, another individual lost their life to artillery shelling, with their body being transported to the European Gaza Hospital.
