Israeli airstrikes on Syria have resulted in the death of a soldier and injuries to seven others, as reported by the state-run Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA). The strikes occurred around 3:40 a.m. local time and targeted two locations in Damascus' Kafr Sousa district, as well as a military site in the western region of Homs, according to a military source cited by SANA.
SANA mentioned that there was 'material damage' caused by the airstrikes, but did not provide specific details on the extent of the damage. Prior to this, SANA had also reported that an Israeli airstrike had struck a residential building in the Syrian capital.
As of now, Israel has not officially commented on these alleged airstrikes. The incident has once again heightened tensions in the region and raised concerns about the ongoing conflict in Syria.
