Amid escalating tensions in the region, an Israeli airstrike in Lebanon resulted in the tragic deaths of 23 Syrian refugees. The strike, which targeted a building housing workers in the village of Younine, also left four Syrians and four Lebanese individuals wounded.

Israel's military chief indicated preparations for a potential ground operation in Lebanon as Hezbollah launched numerous rockets into Israel. The situation prompted the United States, France, and other allies to jointly call for an immediate 21-day cease-fire to facilitate negotiations and prevent further escalation.

Lebanon's health minister reported that Israeli strikes have claimed over 72 lives on a single day, bringing the total death toll to more than 630 since Monday. Additionally, more than 2,000 individuals have been injured, with thousands seeking refuge in southern Lebanon.

The United Nations highlighted that over 90,000 people have been displaced due to the recent Israeli strikes, adding to the existing 200,000 displaced individuals in Lebanon since Hezbollah's involvement in supporting Hamas.

Families of Israeli hostages held in Gaza for nearly a year are urging Israel to consider their loved ones in any cease-fire negotiations with Hezbollah and Hamas. The hostages' families expressed concerns about being overlooked as attention shifts to the northern front.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office downplayed hopes for a cease-fire, emphasizing the ongoing military operations in the north. Israel continued its strikes on Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, with the military confirming 75 sites targeted overnight.

Amid the conflict, Britain announced sending $6.7 million worth of humanitarian aid to Lebanon, including medical supplies and hygiene kits. The aid aims to support civilians affected by the fighting and assist in addressing urgent health and nutrition needs.

The United States, France, and other allies reiterated their call for an immediate 21-day cease-fire between Israel and Hezbollah to create space for diplomatic efforts and prevent further regional destabilization.
