The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted strikes on multiple Hezbollah targets in Beirut on Sunday evening. The Israeli Air Force (IAF) reported hitting Hezbollah’s intelligence headquarters, a weapons storage facility, and other sites in Beirut. Additionally, the IDF targeted Hezbollah locations in the Beqaa area of southern Lebanon, including storage facilities, a command center, and a launcher.
The IDF stated that Hezbollah had strategically placed its command centers and weapons storage facilities under residential buildings in Beirut, putting civilians at risk. Witnesses observed multiple explosions illuminating the skies of Beirut on Sunday night.
In response, Hezbollah launched a barrage of rockets at northern Israel on the same evening.
