“More than a friend, a brother,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the Indian leader’s visit in February. Modi, in turn, described the India-Israel bond as one built on “trust, innovation and a shared commitment to peace and progress”, possibly mirroring the warmth shared by the two countries.

Defence cooperation, trade negotiations, technology partnerships and India's delicate balancing act between Israel and Iran will all remain important considerations.
