On Monday, Israel carried out a bombardment that resulted in the destruction of the top three floors of the Al-Sahaba building in Gaza City, located in the northern part of the enclave. The attack, captured in footage, showed an Israeli airstrike hitting the eight-story tower, creating a ball of fire and a massive plume of smoke. Another video from a distance depicted a dark cloud of smoke rising on the city's horizon.
Prior to the strike, a warning was issued an hour in advance, and fortunately, no casualties were reported by journalists on the ground. The Israeli military disclosed that it had conducted 25 air strikes across Gaza in the past 24 hours.
Human rights organizations, including Oxfam and Human Rights Watch, have raised concerns about Israel's actions, accusing them of carrying out 'indiscriminate and disproportionate attacks in violation of international humanitarian law' in Gaza.
