Israel Continues Airstrikes On Hamas Stronghold In Gaza

Smoke rises from an airstrike in Gaza

Israel has intensified its missile strike on the city of Rafah, Hamas' last stronghold in Gaza, following the breakdown of ceasefire talks with the terrorist regime. Negotiation efforts in Cairo revealed that Hamas demanded a 12-week ceasefire, twice the timeframe offered by the Israeli Defense Force.

The IDF is now preparing for a potential ground invasion, with airstrikes targeting Rafah and military forces gathering outside the city limits. This escalation has prompted a mass exodus of Palestinians from Rafah, resulting in over 100,000 internally displaced refugees setting up temporary shelters outside the city.

Despite concerns raised by Western powers about the potential civilian casualties, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu remains resolute in his commitment to eradicating Hamas, even at the cost of losing allies. President Biden has warned of withholding weapons from Israel if they proceed with the invasion of Rafah, citing the risk to civilian lives.

Recent airstrikes have struck Jabalya camp in northern Gaza and Khan Younis, resulting in the tragic loss of twelve lives. The situation in Gaza remains tense as the conflict between Israel and Hamas shows no signs of immediate resolution.
