On October 7 last year, a tragic event unfolded at the Nova Music Festival site in Israel, where Hamas militants carried out a brutal attack, resulting in the deaths of 347 individuals and the taking of 40 hostages. Today, on the one-year anniversary of this heinous act, people have gathered at the site in the Negev desert to pay their respects and commemorate the lives lost.

This event marks the beginning of a series of gatherings planned to honor the memory of the victims of the terror attacks that shook the nation, claiming the lives of over 1,200 people and leaving more than 250 individuals as hostages. These attacks also served as a catalyst for Israel's military intervention in Gaza, leading to a devastating war.

The atmosphere at the memorial site is understandably somber, with the weight of the tragedy still palpable in the air. Located just 5 kilometers (3 miles) from the Gaza perimeter, the ongoing conflict is a constant presence, as the sound of outgoing artillery rounds can be heard echoing through the quiet morning every few minutes.
