Netanyahu says fighting has resumed in Gaza with 'full force' after Israel launches airstrikes

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that airstrikes that killed more than 400 Palestinians in Gaza are "only the beginning" and that fighting in the enclave had resumed with “full force”.

The surprise bombardment, which killed women and children along with a senior Hamas official, shattered the ceasefire in place since January and threatened to fully reignite the 17-month-old war.
