On Tuesday, a significant attack occurred in Lebanon, causing thousands of pagers belonging to Hezbollah members to explode simultaneously. It has been revealed that Israel was behind this operation, carried out in collaboration between the Mossad, Israel's intelligence service, and the Israeli military.
According to reports from the New York Times, the operation involved placing explosive material in Taiwanese-made pagers that were imported into Lebanon and intended for Hezbollah members. The explosives were strategically positioned next to the battery in each pager, with a remote detonation switch embedded within. The devices detonated in unison after receiving a specific message on Tuesday afternoon.
The aftermath of the attack has been devastating, resulting in at least 9 fatalities and over 2,800 injuries, with approximately 170 individuals in critical condition, as reported by Lebanon's Ministry of Health.
Hezbollah and the Lebanese government have pointed fingers at Israel for orchestrating this attack, while Israel has refrained from making any official statements regarding the incident.
