LAS VEGAS — Goaltender Semyon Varlamov made 36 saves before exiting for undisclosed reasons in the third period, and the New York Islanders defeated the Golden Knights 5-2 at T-Mobile Arena on Saturday.
Center Brock Nelson, left wings Anders Lee and Zach Parise and right wings Simon Holmstrom and Hudson Fasching scored for the Islanders.
Left wing Reilly Smith scored two power-play goals for the Knights, who fell to 1-5 in their past six home games.
