Though the scoreline doesn’t reflect it to be a one-sided affair, Odisha FC had total control of the Indian Super League (ISL) match as they comprehensively defeated NorthEast United FC to inflict eighth consecutive loss of the season on the visitors at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar on Friday evening.
Nandhakumar Sekar and Jerry Mawihmingthanga scored on either side of a Rochharzela equalizer for the Highlanders, as Kalinga Warriors won the match 2-1 to leapfrog defending champions Hyderabad FC to second spot on the league table with 18 points from eight matches. Mumbai City FC continue to lead the chart with 21 points playing one game more.
