"Grey's Anatomy" actor Isaiah Washington has publicly confirmed that his wife of 29 years, Jenisa Washington, died of a hemorrhagic stroke, and he is using the painful disclosure to urge people not to brush off severe headaches. In an Instagram post shared Saturday, Oct. 3, Washington said his wife collapsed suddenly on May 31, 2025, and died on June 9, 2025, more than 16 months before he spoke about it publicly, NBC News reported via AOL.
"It came as a huge shock to me and our entire family. She succumbed to a massive hemorrhagic stroke and never recovered," Washington, 63, wrote. He then addressed his followers directly: "Listen, y'all...some headaches are not just headaches or migraines, they can be much worse and a warning sign. Get a brain scan if you can and take those headaches seriously."
