Is Wall Street Bullish or Bearish on Edwards Lifesciences Stock?

Shares of the Irvine, California-based company have slightly underperformed the broader market over the past 52 weeks. EW stock has increased 19.8% over this time frame, while the broader S&P 500 Index ($SPX) has gained 19.9%. Moreover, shares of the company have risen 9.9% on a YTD basis, compared to SPX's 12.9% return.

Looking closer, Edwards Lifesciences stock has lagged behind the State Street Health Care Select Sector SPDR ETF's (XLV) nearly 29% surge over the past 52 weeks.

Edwards Lifesciences released Q2 2026 results on Jul. 23, with better-than-expected adjusted EPS reaching $0.78 versus $0.67 a year earlier. The company also raised its 2026 revenue outlook to $6.6 billion - $6.9 billion, while maintaining adjusted EPS guidance of $2.95 - $3.05. Growth was led by an 11% increase in transcatheter aortic valve replacement sales and a 47% jump in transcatheter mitral and tricuspid therapies to $195.9 million. However, the stock fell 1.4% the next day.

For the fiscal year ending in December 2026, analysts expect EW’s adjusted EPS to grow 17.2% year-over-year to $3. The company's earnings surprise history is mixed. It topped the consensus estimates in three of the last four quarters while missing on another occasion.

Among the 30 analysts covering the stock, the consensus rating is a “Strong Buy.” That’s based on 21 “Strong Buy” ratings, two “Moderate Buys,” and seven “Holds.”

This configuration is more bullish than three months ago, with 19 “Strong Buy” ratings on the stock.

On Jul. 24, Piper Sandler raised its price target on Edwards Lifesciences to $101 and maintained an “Overweight” rating.

The mean price target of $101.22 represents an 8.1% premium to EW’s current price levels. The Street-high price target of $110 suggests a 17.4% potential upside.
