Is USA vs Belgium on TV? Channel, kick-off time and how to watch World Cup last-16 clash

The United States are hoping to prolong their dream home World Cup as they face Belgium with a place in the quarter-finals on the line.

Mauricio Pochettino guided the US to only their second-ever knockouts win as they brushed aside Bosnia and Herzegovina, with star man Folarin Balogun and Malik Tillman scoring in Santa Clara.

However, the co-hosts are now at the centre of controversy after Fifa had Balogun’s red card from that game wiped, reportedly after being lobbied by the White House.

Belgium, who produced the most dramatic win of the tournament against Senegal in the round of 32 to reach this stage, have branded themselves “astonished” at the decision and will look to overcome what many has seen as preferential treatment towards the host nation.

Here’s everything you need to know.

When is USA vs Belgium?

USA’s last-16 clash with Belgium kicks off at 1am BST (6pm PT) on Tuesday 7 July at the Seattle Stadium.

How can I watch it?

Viewers in the UK can watch the match on BBC One, while it can also be streamed on BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website.

In the US, the match will be available to watch on Fox Sports.

Who will the winner face?

The winner will be pitted in a quarter-final clash with either Portugal or Spain, with that match set for 10 July in Los Angeles.

Team news

USA will controversially have Balogun available after his suspension was wiped by Fifa. Pochettino also has injury concerns regarding Mark McKenzie and Cristian Roldan, while talisman Christian Pulisic will be expected to start after his injury problems earlier in the tournament.

Zeno Debast is still a doubt to feature for Belgium due to an injury that has kept him out the entire World Cup, though Leandro Trossard is fit despite concerns.

Confirmed line-ups

USA XI: Freese; Freeman, Richards, Ream, Robinson; Tillman, Adams, McKennie; Dest, Balogun, Pulisic.

Belgium XI: Courtois; Castagne, Ngoy, Mechele, De Cuyper; Raskin, Onana, Tielemans; Lukebakio, De Ketelare, Trossard.
