Is Tottenham vs Roma on TV? Kick-off time, match odds and team news

Tottenham Hotspur will reunite with former manager Jose Mourinho this weekend when they face Italian outfit AS Roma in their final pre-season friendly of the summer, as they prepare to compete in the I-Tech Cup in Israel.

Spurs haven’t had many tests this summer but began with a victory over Team K League and a draw with Sevilla on their pre-season tour of South Korea, before coming from behind to beat Rangers 2-1 at Ibrox last weekend.

But looking to give them their first defeat of the summer is Roma, who won the inaugural UEFA Europa Conference league last season. The Italians have already defeated Sunderland and Portimonense in pre-season, but lost to Sporting Lisbon and drew with Nice.

When is Tottenham vs Roma?

Tottenham vs Roma will kick-off at 7:15pm (BST) on Saturday, July 30 at the Sammy Ofer Stadium in Haifa, Israel.

The last meeting between these two sides came back in July 2018 in another friendly, when Tottenham ran out 4-1 winners as part of the International Champions Cup in San Diego, United States.

Patrik Schick put Roma ahead after just three minutes, but Fernando Llorente scored a quick brace to put Spurs 2-1 up after 18 minutes, before Lucas Moura scored two of his own before half-time to secure the victory for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

Team news

Antonio Conte can be expected to play his strongest lineup possible for this fixture as Spurs prepare to play their final warm-up game before their Premier League campaign gets underway next weekend, meaning a whole host of stars should be on show in Israel.

However, Ben Davies (ankle) and Oliver Skipp (knock) are doubts, but a similar side to the one that beat Rangers last week can be expected to play. Dejan Kulusevski, Harry Kane and Son Heung-min should lead the front three, but Richarison’s Premier League suspension next week could mean that the Brazilian features from the off instead here.

As for Jose Mourinho, he will be desperate to get one over his former side and should play his strongest possible lineup here, with Roma also preparing for their final pre-season friendly of the summer ahead of the start of their Serie A campaign next month.

Young midfielder Ebrima Darboe (ACL) is the only injury concern, although he will be out for the long term. Nicolo Zaniolo, who has been linked with a move to Spurs this summer, should start, while new signings Nemanja Matic and Paulo Dybala will also be eager to impress in this fixture.
