Tom Bradby and Prince William

Bradby hosted a tell-all interview with Prince Harry on ITV last night, the only UK chat for the Duke’s new book. But instead of boasting about it online, Bradby kept schtum.
Bradby is one of the few journalists who can claim to be a friend of the family: he went to both princes’ weddings, and did William and Kate’s engagement interview.
But in 2019, Bradby reportedly upset William by making a documentary with Harry and Meghan in Africa. After that, Bradby said he felt “caught in the middle” of the heir and the spare, calling it “deeply uncomfortable”.
The ITV man was praised for asking Harry hard questions, including about the contradiction of protecting his own privacy while invading his family’s. Bradby often posts about his journalism online. But this week, he’s only plugged his new detective thriller, which he called “the big news of today”.

At one point, an organiser at the concert thanked guests for navigating travel chaos. IT SEEMS Prince Harry’s book has gone to our politicians’ heads. Quiet man on the Tory backbenches Iain Duncan Smith is so angry he expressed his feelings with a limerick, or an attempt at one, which he sent into the Telegraph’s letters pages. Leaving aside the messy metre and dud rhyming scheme, aren’t limericks supposed to be funny? “God, that’s dreadful,” says writer Philip Pullman. We are taking submissions for better ones.
Art fair bids farewell to London
FRESH disappointment for the London art world. Masterpiece, a fair held each summer at the Royal Hospital in Chelsea, has been cancelled by organiser Art Basel. A spokesperson tells the Art Newspaper it is down to escalating costs and a fall in exhibitors, partly due to Brexit. Last year, London auction houses said they have been relegated to selling B-list paintings while the good stuff is flogged in New York.
Embattled cook Brooklyn gets his apron on at birthday party
Nicola Peltz Beckham celebrated her 27th birthday last night with her mum and a big cake. Husband Brooklyn Beckham was in the kitchen, despite undercooking some beef in an online video last week.
