A surefire sign that Christmas is on the way, Coca-Cola's now famous festive Truck Tour has been confirmed for 2022, and this year, the soft drinks giant is teaming up with FareShare, the UK’s biggest charity fighting hunger and food waste.
The firm says this year's tour will be "bigger and better than ever before", with festive activities such as ‘Elfie selfie’ shots, special QR codes that allow you to access a host of interactive games, and a selection of food huts offering festive treats.
Those attending will also be able to get photos with the truck as well as be given the chance to buy personalised Coca-Cola Zero Sugar and Coca-Cola Original as a memento of the day.
Though the dates and cities have yet to be confirmed for the tour, it is hoped that the iconic truck will be winging its way through more Scottish locations after only visiting Glasgow last year – with Edinburgh hopefully to be given a date (or two) this time around

With festive family fun high on the agenda, this year, every visit to the truck will also help support the charity and its push to combat food poverty.
Coca-Cola say that with the help of everyone who visits the iconic truck, as part of this year's theme, “Your Presence is Your Present”, they will donate the equivalent of up to 100,000 meals to those in need throughout the festive season.
Lindsay Boswell, CEO at FareShare said: “We’re incredibly grateful for the support from Coca-Cola. Their donation will help us get more good-to-eat surplus food to people across the UK most impacted by the cost of living crisis. We hope as many people visit the Coca-Cola Truck Tour this Christmas so that we can get more food to people who need it during what are challenging times for many.”
Laura Moon, Senior Brand Manager at The Coca-Cola Company, Great Britain, added: “Coca-Cola has always been synonymous with Christmas, particularly the iconic Truck Tour and Holidays Are Coming advert. This year, the magic of Christmas is needed more than ever, and we are excited to bring back our famous truck tour to fans nationwide.
“We’re also extremely pleased to continue our relationship with FareShare and for every person that visits the Truck Tour, we’ll donate the equivalent of a meal on their behalf, supporting those most in need this festive season.”
The Coca-Cola festive fun doesn't stop there, those unlucky enough not to be able to attend in person can still enjoy the opportunity to win thousands of festive gifts, with anyone scanning their on-pack QR codes being the chance to win, including pre-loaded £200 ‘Festive Feast’ gift cards as part of their ‘Christmas Always Finds A Way’ campaign.
With a packed schedule of exciting Truck Tour stops taking place in the lead-up to Christmas, eager Coca-Cola Christmas Truck fans can follow announcements about the schedule which will be made over the coming weeks at @CocaColaEU (Instagram) and @CocaCola_GB (Twitter) - though as always we'll let you know here first as soon as we find out.
