The Boston Celtics bench has been surprisingly good this season, recently showing out in particular on Boston’s recent West Coast swing. The Celtics got a lot of quality play from reserve forward Sam Hauser, backup big man Luke Kornet, reserve guard Payton Pritchard and bench forward Oshae Brissett during that West Coast road trip.
And the Celtics needed it at times, with the bench mob’s Bus 1 Boys helping to keep the short slide on that trip to just two tilts. Compared to seasons past, when Boston needed to survive bench minutes instead of thriving in them, this has been a most promising development.
On a recent episode of the CLNS Media “Garden Report” podcast, hosts Bobby Manning, John Zannis and Josue Pavon debated after Boston won vs. the Jazz whether the bench is good enough or not. Check it out below!
