Popular mobile messaging service Snapchat appears to be having serious problems this morning, with thousands of users complaining that they cant sent media via the messing service.
Many are also openly voicing worries that they will lose their sacred Snapchat Streaks with their nearest and dearest friends.

If you're repeatedly trying and failing to access or send Snaps this morning via Snapchat, then you are not alone. It appears as though the instant messaging platform is having a number of serious technical issues, with thousands complaining that they are unable to send any form of media while using the app.
Many are also concerned that they will lose their prestigious Streaks - which track how many days in a row messages have been sent between friends. Technical issues began at around 7.30am, with the outage still widespread an hour later.
There's no official word on what's causing the problems, but the Down Detector - which exposes online outages across the globe - is showing some 9,000 reports of difficulties detected on the app. Users worldwide are thought to be affected.
And devoted users of the mobile service have taken to the forum pages of the Down Detector site, complaining about the issues. One fan, Rae, said: "Snap's won't send, if it doesn't fix bye-bye streak," while another, added: "I don’t want to lose my streak it’s nearly 4 years."
Other social media sites like Twitter are also being flooded with fans, who are desperately trying to figure out the cause of the bug. One tweet posted by Snapchat user Mishi, said: "Snapchat down at 8am is this a joke," whilst another fan named Misan, added: "Why is Snapchat down? I can’t afford to lose my streaks."
There's no word on what is causing the problems or when things will be back online.
