Is Pankaj Tripathi planning to take legal action against the makers of 'Azamgarh'? Here's what we know...

Pankaj Tripathi is apparently upset with the makers of upcoming film, 'Azamgarh' where he has played a small cameo. The actor will be seen playing the role of a Maulvi who leads young people to the path of terrorism.

According to a report in a news portal, the actor got angry when he came to know that his name is being used for promoting the film. He now wants to take legal action against the makers. Pankaj shot this film five years ago, however, it could not be released at that time. He was unaware that the makers have finalised a release date. He reportedly came to know about this after seeing hoardings of the film. His name which is being used for 'Azamgarh' may affect 'Oh My God 2' as he is working on it, a report in India Today stated.

The report also added that the actor doesn’t want such 'cheap popularity'. Therefore, he doesn’t want the makers to use his name for publicity. Pankaj Tripathi will reportedly take action if they don’t agree.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Pankaj has Oh My God 2 with Akshay Kumar and Yami Gautam. He is also a part of 'Metro In Dino', 'Fukrey 3' and others. He will also be seen in the third season of his popular web series, 'Mirzapur'.
